The annual meeting of the French Union for Science and Glass Technology (USTV) in conjunction with the 96th Annual Meeting of the German Society of Glass Technology will be held in Orléans at the Conference Center located 'avenue Jean Zay' in Orléans from May 22th to 24th, 2023. The conference language is English and opened to every delegate nationalities.
After a successful first joint meeting in Nuremberg, we invite you to submit your abstracts for the joint meeting 2023 organized in France in Orléans, before February 15th 2023. Nine sessions (See Topics) are proposed to overview the major fields in glass research and applications. The sessions will be kept as much as possible mixed between academic and industrial as well as mixed between French and German participations. The priority will be given to cross interest interactions rather than a strict scientific thematic consistency.
The conference also includes a Students special program and the opportunity to give a first presentation in an International Conference and start to meet with potential employers. Any student or young researcher can sign up for this special program during registration without any extra cost. This program is proposed in parallel with the general program of the meeting and aims the cultural and professional French-German interactions. It includes also special conferences on glass application. Traveling grants of UFA will be given to around 12 students from German universities or laboratories. Students at the master or doctoral level are eligible and can apply up to March 1st:
Name of the laboratory/University; Doctoral or Master position; Name of your supervisor; Title of your abstract and session number
A jury will elect the winners of this UFA grant in March.

SPECIAL GLASSES & SPECTROSCOPY satellite WORKSHOP / MAY 26th 2023
This satellite conference is open to students and young researchers. It is dedicated to the spectroscopy contributions to the glass comprehension in various contexts and applications. The workshop includes a visit of the instruments in the CNRS-CEMHTI laboratory.
